Abstract: The Multi-Fibre Agreement (MFA), which governed the world textile and apparel industry for over thirty years, came to an end on January 1st 2005. The end of the MFA was expected to herald the end of protectionism in the textile industry and usher in tremendous opportunities and uncertainties for the textile industries in developing countries. |
